Network Nexus is a student-led club focused on helping high schoolers unlock the power of professional networking & career development. In a world where opportunities are increasingly built on connections, we aim to guide students in developing meaningful digital identities, especially through platforms like LinkedIn. Whether you're looking to connect with peers, discover new career passions, or prepare for college and career pathways, Network Nexus is your launchpad.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between student potential and professional opportunity. We believe networking & career development shouldn't be reserved for adults in offices; it should start in high school, with accessible, thoughtful tools and a community of support.
Our club meetings are every other Friday during lunch @ D7.

President - Ethan Ty
Hi! I’m Ethan, a senior at Carlmont HS. I started Network Nexus to help students improve their LinkedIn, create meaningful connections & find opportunities outside of HS. Outside of Network Nexus, I’m interested in politics, music, binging TV shows, and love drinking coffee. Feel free to shoot me a DM if you ever need help with your LinkedIn!
Vice President - Nikhil Nunna
I’m Nikhil, and I’m the Vice President of Carlmont’s Network Nexus Club, where I help students build career skills through workshops, speakers, and networking opportunities. I’m passionate about professional development and enjoy helping my peers strengthen their resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and real-world confidence. Outside the club, I’m involved in research, journalism, local government, and other leadership roles that push me to keep growing.
Secretary - Matthew Lum
Hi! I’m Matthew Lum, Secretary of Network Nexus and a rising junior at Carlmont High School. I’m passionate about tech and education, and currently lead Carlmont Proteus Engineering, a club focused on making STEM accessible for special needs students. When I’m not programming robots or mentoring first-year teams, I enjoy helping build spaces where students can grow together, just like we’re doing at Network Nexus.
Secretary - Amir Bder
Hi! I’m Amir Bder, Secretary of Network Nexus and a senior at Carlmont High School. I’m passionate about helping others grow, whether that’s through tutoring younger students, mentoring kids on the basketball court, or building robots with my team. I joined Network Nexus to help create a supportive space where everyone feels welcome and encouraged to develop professionally.

With experience in leadership, youth education, and event collaboration, I am excited to bring my passions to a new community and help students gain a deeper insight into preparing for their futures!

Hi! I’m Mark, a senior at Carlmont high school. I am passionate about politics, finance, investing, playing soccer, and dogs! I can’t wait to contribute to Network Nexus through my role as Outreach Director and strive to create an inclusive and educational environment for the club.

Hi! I’m Arianna, a senior at Carlmont. I am passionate about psychology, medicine, cheer, and animals! I'm excited for the 26-27 school year at Network Nexus as the Marketing Director :)

Hi! I'm Nico, a senior at Carlmont. I’m excited to serve as Marketing Director for Network Nexus this year. I can’t wait to see what we are able to create this year. Outside of Network Nexus, I’m involved in ASB as ASB prez, DECA, wrestling, and a lot more.
